Cebu, Philippines — Traveling with friends and family is a good idea this Yuletide Season. Embracing the travel culture and the travel bug, travelers who wanted to visit the Lion City from the Queen City of the South can now experience non stop flights from Cebu to Singapore this December 16 through Philippine Airlines.
This is a four times weekly service that runs from Mondays / Wednesdays / Friday / Sunday via PR517 that departs every 1 PM at Cebu and arrives at 01:45 AM in Singapore of the following day. The Singapore – Cebu leg will also operate four times weekly on Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday, leaving the Lion City, Singapore, at 02:45 AM and arriving at Cebu by 06:40 in the morning. At present, Philippine Airlines flies to Singapore via Manila four times daily via PR511, PR501, and PR509.
Singapore is known to be a melting pot of cuisine and culture and it is a favorite destination for individuals who yearn for adventure and some change of environment. While Singapore remains to be one of the cleanest and most disciplined cities in the world, the Cebu – Singapore link paves the way for more destinations.
As Philippine Airlines President and Chief Operating Officer Jaime J. Bautista would put it, the Cebu hub allows the travelers from other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao to hop to the Queen City of the South and then fly directly to the Singapore without passing by Manila. The travelers will be able to experience the trademark service of Philippine Airlines, with the Heart of the Filipino, of course, on top of the modern amenities of the 199- seater A321s. At the same time, travelers from Singapore can now connect to Philippine Airlines’s international network from Cebu such as Los Angeles, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Incheon.
Philippine Airlines will also launch its daily Cebu – Caticlan – Clark flights beginning December 16. Those travelers from Singapore can now enjoy not only Cebu for a few days but also get the chance to take a Caticlan flight and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Boracay or connect going North to Clark, Pampanga, gateway to Central and Northern Luzon.
The forthcoming service between Cebu and Singapore will bring to six the total number of international routes from Cebu. The Cebu – Caticlan and Cebu – Clark (via Caticlan) operations will bring to ten the total number of Philippine Airlines Domestic connections from the island-province namely Bacolod, Iloilo, Kalibo, Tacloban, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Manila as its current destinations.
