Experience Camotes Island’s Finest with Traveloka

Traveling has been one of my go to activities whenever I am stressed. Achieving a work – life balance is not a piece of cake. It entails careful planning and a lot of saving up. Traveling for me is a process, from deciding where to go and then deciding where to stay and what to eat as well as the transportation. Getting the necessary details like location, transportation to and fro the destination and how much it will cost as well is a MUST for me.

In the advent of speedy information through social media and the internet, most travel apps and websites are readily available. Good thing is that Traveloka, a mobile travel app, provides my most needed accommodation information at one touch. It was hassle-free and very convenient when I booked my trip to Santiago Bay Garden and Resort.

Santiago Bay Garden and Resort

Nestled where the famous Santiago White Beach is located, Santiago Bay Garden and Resort is a prominent edifice in the Municipality of San Francisco in Pacijan [mainland Camotes Island]. It is a remarkable landmark as the resort had already expanded significantly over the past years through the efforts of its owner, Joel Pulvera. From Consuelo Port, the resort is about 30 minutes away through van or through motorcycle through the winding road in the island with no traffic.

Room Features

The resort has 9 types of featured rooms. The rooms are all equipped with snooze worthy beds, toilet and bath, linens, local channels on TV, A/C or fan (depends on your preference), side tables, and hot and cold water in the bungalows. Most rooms are either ocean view or garden view.

Breakfast is not free in this resort, though. You have the liberty to choose whatever you want to eat in the morning while enjoying the majestic view of the seemingly unending stretch of white sands blending with the subtle hues of blues and greens.

Feature Amenities / Other Activities to do in the resort

Aside from lounging at the two infinity swimming pools in the resort, you are free to go down and enjoy the fine white sands and the calming waves of the sea. Even at a far distance, the waters are pretty shallow. You may also enjoy the walkways of the resort while waiting for the sunset. There is also the Bay View Restaurant, where you can enjoy local and international flairs and dishes, also the freshest seafood buffets. Aquasports like Kayaking, Jet ski, Banana Boat, Buzz Bomb Towable Ride and also, adjacent Dive Shops abound making your stay in the resort jam packed. The resort can also arrange Tours for its guests like venturing into the famous Lake Danao, a 700 hectare freshwater natural lake that houses the Purple Heron and the Philippine Wild Duck as well as a bird sanctuary. Other options include spelunking into Bukilat Cave, conquering your fear of heights at the Buho Rock Resort in Poro where you can jump into the sea and swim all you want.

Booking Santiago Resort thru Traveloka

Since I am the type of person who doesn’t want to feel burdened and stressed on booking for my preferred hotel, I used the Traveloka app. After downloading it and setting it up within 5 minutes or less, I registered my name, phone number and email address. Oh, before I forget, the app is available through Google Play and the App Store. So now, booking a room is a breeze but tapping “Hotels” and following whatever information is needed and then clicked “Search”. Then proceed to payment options such as Credit/Debit Card, Over-the-counter, or Bank Counters. So there, I got my booking confirmed after selecting Credit/Debit Card and I’m all set.

Final words

The ease of access with the Traveloka App is the best thing that happened to me during this journey. I got surprised when my booking was a bit cheaper than the other online booking websites and apps. It was very convenient and efficient for a weekday corporate slave like me. I had an awesome stay at the resort as well as my family. I had lived the island life away from the structured chaos in the urban jungle. It definitely made me revitalize myself and re charged my senses with Mother Nature’s natural bounty. I couldn’t had done this without the help of Traveloka. For bookings on top destinations around the country, book via the Traveloka app now! It definitely spelled the difference!
