8th BCBA or Best Cebu Blogs Awards Night on Sunday December 6, 6 p.m. at Avalon Building, Cebu Business Park.
Cebu, Philippines — I had traveled around the Philippines as long as I can remember. Being a favorite niece, I had the privilege of being picked as a travel buddy of my late Uncle. As early as an elementary kid, I had been exposed to the culture and travel mechanics of our province. In truth, I had been packing my bags when Summer and Christmas Vacations start. Places in Luzon like Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Quezon, Manila and places in Mindanao like Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental are some of the places that I had enjoyed when I was still a kid. On local destinations here in Cebu, I was already able to travel freely to and fro Aloguinsan, Oslob, and Camotes. Sumilon Island and Malapascua Island are also two destinations that I would want to visit again.
Fast forward almost 20 years to the present, I shifted from chronicling my journeys in my diary to a more techie one, owning and maintaining a blog site. It may have started as a ranting for my tired self, juggling education, martial arts, outdoors and other interests as well as being a new media practitioner. Never in my wildest dreams would I thought of being nominated for BCBA, or better known as Best Cebu Blog Awards for this year. It has been an honor and took more than guts and angst to be able to keep with my own niche of blogging. I had mainly intended to focus on adventure and travel blog niche, however, lately I realized that my brainchild blog is primarily a personal blog. 🙂 How come I haven’t thought of that in the first place? 🙂 Anyhow, still I write mainly to express my thoughts and not to impress anyone. I would like to see this as an opportunity for me to hone my craft, improving in a way to be a window of every traveler’s soul, exploring and discovering what lies ahead of LIFE. It has been an honor for me and my blog, Lakambini Viajera, to be a part of this momentous event for BCBA.
On December 6, Cebu’s Prime Awarding Body founded by a Blogger and dedicated to Bloggers, Best Cebu Blogs Awards (BCBA) is celebrating its 8th Awards Night. As co-presented by SMART Communications Inc., BCBA will acknowledge the excellent craft of Cebu-Based Bloggers over the year. With the help of Three respected Bloggers from Luzon and Visayas as our Judges, we were able to evaluate and come up with Winners from Seven different Niches/Awards such as Best Cebu Technology Blog, Best Cebu Personal Blog, Best Cebu Travel Blog , Best Cebu Food Blog, Best Cebu Fashion Blog , Best Cebu Photo Blog and Best Cebu Events/Entertainment Blog.
It really mean a lot to me being a blogger since I am able to:
- Hone my writing skills as well as proof reading my work prior to posting
